Food in more than one location!
My food throwing neighbors had me take care of their cats while they were away. When I went over I discovered that they also throw food out their side door! I stopped in my tracks and laughed out loud to see their Lilac festooned in sliced bread.
well, I cannot say how relieved I am to know that us US inhabitants are not the only ones aiming to test the gravitationo-edible strings, and hurl tidbits to the wind....I look forward to yorkshire pudding dripping from an oak tree, fish and chips in the gutter, bangers and mash on the walkway........
We live in what should be a regular old, dull neighborhood. Old people who've lived here 30 years, young families with kids, middle class, etc. Yet it seems our particular street contains a whole slew of oddities. This blog documents one such oddity - the phenomenon we call "thrown food". Our next door neighbor inexplicably throws food out the front door into the street and lawn. This started over a year ago with a couple slices of bread. Then it was a whole loaf - we thought THAT was overboard. Then one day a macaroni & cheese casserole lay there - the heavier, crusty top on the lawn and the lighter, more agile bottom noodles making it to the street. Wow. So it continued and we saw more casseroles, 3 bean salad, lots of bread and the true masterpiece, the full sized birthday cake. A birthday cake (less one slice), sprawled out on the street, brightly decorated with rosettes and colored frosting. That was the kick in the pants to start this blog. Alas, we did not get a picture. So, let's keep our fingers crossed for something as spectacular as that birthday cake!
Posting is dependent on the neighbors throwing some food.....
